ALLIED HEALTH SPECIALISTS

Occupational Therapist, Speech Therapist, Physiotherapist, Exercise Physiologist, Dietician and Social Worker

We are a newly established organisation with strong existing connections in the Fraser Coast community.  Our approach is holistic, providing predominantly NDIS & MAC services, we also offer services to both Medicare and private clients. 

As a new member of our Allied Health team, you will have control to establish your role & reputation within the community. We have clients awaiting services with an overall shortage of allied health service providers in the region.  As an integral part of our positive & community focused culture, the successful candidate will be confident to grow their referrals through existing and new network channels

Unicopia has a multi-disciplinary team of support workers, early childhood intervention specialists, nursing staff, mental health & allied health practioners. 

Essential assets for the role:   

  • The ability to manage a complex portfolio of client files.
  • Experience working with vulnerable and disadvantaged communities including those either homeless or at risk of homelessness.
  • Being a strong client advocate.
  • A working knowledge of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture and how it relates to healthcare delivery.  
  • Completing thorough and rigorous assessments in the community including both in the home, clinic and in an outreach capacity.   
  • The ability to incorporate your assessments in order to make rigorous recommendations and ensure they’re implemented.
  • Attending medical appointments and conveying your assessments with your client and/or their stakeholders including through a case conferencing model.
  • A deep experience with undertaking initial assessments, workplace assessments, ADL assessments, Full Functional Capacity assessments, SIL/SDA assessments, etc.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work within a multidisciplinary team with other allied health and administration professionals
  • Communicating with medical and allied health professionals to ensure appropriate intervention and continuity of care.
  • Documenting case notes as part of reporting and compliance requirements.

About You:

  • Tertiary qualified in Occupational Therapist, Speech Therapist, Physiotherapist,  Exercise Physiologist, Dietician.
  • Full registration with AHPRA.
  • Limited registration with AHPRA may be considered.
  • Car and valid Driver’s license.
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Ability to work autonomously and within a team environment.
  • Exceptional customer service skills and ability to build strong stakeholder relationships.
  • Positive “can do attitude” passionate about helping people.

  • Be paid casual rates with additional penalty rates for overnight or weekend shifts, excellent remuneration depending on experience
